The Great Migration Tour
Catch Young Mothers & Faster Than Light on The Great Migration Tour this June.
Nate Jasensky & Zachary Toporek, the musicians behind Faster Than Light & Young Mothers, are uprooting their lives, trucking through the South, and landing in New York City in June. Oh yeah, and recording an album along the way. The Great Migration tour is about taking a gamble, exploring the nation, and making a document of who and what these two unique musicians are at this pivotal moment in their lives.

Nate Jasensky is the multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer and recording engineer behind Faster Than Light, a progressive minded indie rock outfit. On the stage, on the albums, and behind the scenes, Nate is making the wheels turn for the band and his music. Having played music since early childhood, Nate works with an ethic that is both spontaneous and honed, to create inspired music that aims to take you on a journey of sonic proportions. Also an accomplished classical guitarist, Nate has worked with many great talents, including Grammy nominated film composer Enrique “Hank” Feldman, and touring reggae artist Mojo Morgan. Nate’s freelance work can be found in many projects around the web and beyond. He also enjoys cooking.
Tucson’s Young Mothers combines Nilsson-esque Pop with Top 40 caliber hooks and incisive lyrics. It’s not just that Toporek packs a punch with his words- he does. But the young songwriter behind the sound is also insightful when he bites. Young Mothers is about dusty Motown records in space and psychotherapy. Big Rock and sugar drops.
Oh, and killer tunes.
